Drifting Springtime

Normally, I really dislike putting words at the end of posts but I wanted these photographs to flow and feel more like moving images than still ones. These images are from a lovely photo shoot with Josephine, in a paddock that always catches my eye on my way out to Paul's house. The road winds and dips, and there are beautiful creeks and small ponds. These fields always capture my eye because they seem so still, so misplaced, so secluded, even though a road passes them by. The series was inspired by Picnic At Hanging Rock, a story my dad always used to tell my brother and I when we were little. My brother bought the film recently and I spent an afternoon watching it, my mind filling with ideas.

    1. Thank you Hanna! They're just taken in a little field not too far from where I live, Geelong.
It's actually private property, and we tried asking the owners but they weren't home so we thought we would risk it ;)

    1. Thank you Alexandria! That's lovely to hear. Normally most of my photographs are of the model looking at the camera because I like the directness.
